Current Projects

I prefer to work on multiple pieces at a time; it's a creative strategy that works for me for a few reasons:

  • Perspective - stare at a painting for too long and it's hard to see it objectively
  • Momentum - switching between pieces keeps the dopamine coming and helps productivity
  • Practical - oil paints are famously slow drying but even acrylics can take a little while so switching between layers is practical

Below you'll find some of the current big projects I'm working on and get some insights before they are released for sale. Enjoy!

Bloomscape

Bloomscape

Bloomscape

Expected Release: Dec 2025

This is the largest piece since last year’s big oil painting. It took me some time to find rhythm with this as I didn't preplan the composition at all. Instead it unfolded flower by flower. Working this way has made the process s-l-o-w, but also more intuitive and very satisfying to paint.

Two distinct prints will be born from subsections of this piece so parts of Bloomscape can live in many other spaces too.

Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: Approx 61cm x 91cm
Year: 2025
